Sheila On 7 held their concert titled 'Wait for Me in Jakarta' at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (28/1).
This is Sheila On 7's first solo concert after the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, this concert also serves as a moment for Sheila On 7 to celebrate 27 years of career in the Indonesian music industry.
In addition, this band from Yogyakarta is also already longing for their fans, commonly known as Sheila Gank.
"After the pandemic, Sheila On 7 really misses being able to perform again," said Andri Verraning Ayu, representing Antara Suara Promoter.
"At first, we just got to know each other, didn't meet for a long time until finally when we chatted everywhere and then came up with the idea to create a concert," he added.
The concert was quite lively. Duta himself expressed gratitude for seeing the enthusiasm of the fans.
He even admitted to trying to hold back tears while performing because he was touched to see his loyal fans waiting for Sheila On 7 in Jakarta.
Despite having been in the industry for more than 2 decades, Sheila On 7 remains a down-to-earth band. According to the promoter, they have no strange riders and tend to be simple.
