Kapanlagi.com - Child singers Nikhita and Nishita Venkatraman seem ready to liven up the music scene in the homeland. Both of them will soon be making music again after their last release in 2021.
The Indonesian and Indian mixed-race singers are currently preparing a new single. This time, Nikhita and Nishita collaborate with one of the famous musicians in the country, Melly Goeslaw.
This news was confirmed by their father, Venkatraman Soundrarajan. He confirmed that his twin daughters will perform a song by Melly Goeslaw.
"Yes, we are currently preparing a special song, the song is created by Melly Goeslaw," said Venkatraman Soundrarajan when met in the Sudirman area of South Jakarta recently.
However, Venkatraman Soundrarajan is reluctant to reveal explicitly about the new song that will be sung by his children. But he said that the song has been written by Melly Goeslaw and will soon be introduced to the public.
"Teh Melly has written for them for that single, it's coming soon," he said.
In the same opportunity, the mother of Nikhita and Nishita, Siti Wahyuni, also explained that collaborating with Melly Goeslaw has been a long-time dream of their mother. Of course, as a mother, she hopes that the work performed by her two daughters can be accepted by the public and become a remedy for longing for children's songs that are currently rarely heard.
"I must be happy because this is my dream (that my children can sing with Melly Goeslaw)," she said.
As information in 2021, Nikhita Venkatraman and Nishita Venkatraman covered popular songs by Papa T Bob. Some of the songs they performed include Bolo-Bolo, Air, Du Di Dam, Si Komo Lewat Jalan Tol, Si Kodok, Katanya-Katanya, Semut-Semut Kecil, Nyamuk Nakal, and Ku Takut Mamaku Marah.
"Hopefully in the future, the songs sung by Nikhita and Nishita can be accepted and become a choice for parents to introduce music to their children," said Nikhita and Nishita's mother.
