Agnez Mo's Side Not Cooperative, Composer Ari Bias Reveals Kris Dayanti's Positive Response During the Socialization of Direct License for Her Song

Kapanlagi.com - Last Thursday (2/5), composer Ari Bias issued an open summons to Agnez Mo. He demanded that Agnez and HW Group promoter pay a total penalty fee of IDR 1.5 billion for performing his song titled Bilang Saja without permission at three concerts in May 2023.

Long before issuing the summons, Ari had contacted Agnez's manager, Steve Muljoto, in July 2023. However, when informed about the concerts and the implementation of direct license, there was no positive response from the man who is also the singer's older brother.

"I chatted with Agnez Mo's older brother who is also her manager. I have informed him that I have done a direct license, and then I informed him about those three concerts, I have also questioned, but there was no positive response. The answer was ambiguous, it was not clear whether he agreed with this system or not, there was no definite answer," said Ari in a press conference in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta.

1. Prohibition of Agnez Mo Performing Her Songs

Due to the response, in December 2023 Ari Bias prohibited Agnez Mo from singing all of her own songs. Ari also informed other singers who collaborated with him that he had implemented a direct license for the created songs.

"As I said yesterday, there was no positive response. That's why in December I banned my songs from being sung by Agnez because she was uncooperative," Ari Bias continued.

2. Positive Response from Kris Dayanti

Unlike Agnez Mo, other singers responded positively when Ari Bias informed them about the direct license. Like Kris Dayanti who immediately responded kindly.

"Kris Dayanti has confirmed the direct license for my songs. She responded immediately. She agrees to use the songs directly with the creator. She pays for every performance," explained Ari Bias.
