Arfa Marqia Invites the Younger Generation to Love Batik More

Kapanlagi.com - Young singer Arfa Marqia apparently not only wants her melodious voice to be heard by many people through songs. The 13-year-old teenager apparently also has a mission of her own to invite children of her age to love Indonesian culture more, one of which is batik.

The singer of Malaikat Pelindungku certainly has her own reasons why she wants to spread the spirit of wearing batik. Besides making appearances more impressive, wearing batik is also a platform for the younger generation to preserve Indonesian culture.

"By wearing batik, we have all become citizens who participate in preserving the archipelago's culture. Therefore, from now on, be proud to wear batik, regardless of background. Batik is no longer just formal attire, batik can also be worn in a casual atmosphere. As the younger generation, it is our duty to preserve and maintain the culture of batik craftsmanship," said Arfa on Sunday (15/11) at Royale Studio, South Jakarta.

1. Experience Making Batik

When met yesterday, Arfa proved her love by wearing batik. The reason she likes wearing batik is because of its beautiful and unique motifs. Some of her favorites are kawung and parang.

In addition, Arfa also shared her experience of making batik, which turned out to be more difficult than she imagined. Therefore, this singer who often covers songs on YouTube appreciates batik even more.

"I had a unique experience trying to make batik using canting when I was in elementary school. The way to make it is very difficult. The canting is also hot and if it touches the hand, it stings a lot. It's like being hit by a hot glue that sticks and burns," she recalled.

2. Latest Project

In addition to sharing her love for batik, Arfa also revealed her latest project. Starting from an accident, Arfa will soon release her new single.

"Long story short, I was invited to join Royale Studio Management. God willing, for the next single, I will compose the song myself, it tells the story of my experience in school," she concluded.

Arfa herself is a new singer. Her song titled Malaikat Pelinduku (My Guardian Angel) composed by Umaru Takaeda, former vocalist of Drive, received praise from former Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla and former Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police Commissioner Pol (Ret.) Syafruddin. Arfa started her career by covering songs on her YouTube channel, Arfa Marqia.
