Three decades after the song was released, Ari revealed an interesting fact about Cinta Kan Membawamu Kembali. This was disclosed by Ari while performing at the wedding reception of Luna and Maxime in Ubud on Wednesday, (7/5) ago.
Before performing his song, he offered a prayer for Luna Maya to always be together in joy and sorrow, in health and sickness, until death do them part. "Don’t let it be like me," said Ari. "Why is that, sir?" asked Luna. "I’m a widower," replied Ari. "You’ll follow soon," Luna responded, which was met with whistles from the guests.
Then Ari revealed that there is one Dewa 19 song that has a connection with Luna. "This song, Lun, this song is connected to Luna Maya. So back in 1997, we were on tour at the Art Center and Dhani saw a beautiful girl riding a motorcycle. ‘Wow, who is that?!’ Then after more than a decade, we asked, and it turned out to be Luna Maya. The song Cinta Kan Membawamu Kembali was created by Ahmad Dhani and released on the second album of Dewa 19 titled Format Masa Depan. Although it was released in 1994, the song remains popular even decades later.
In 2000, Reza Artamevia re-released this song with a different style. However, the version most remembered by Indonesian music lovers is the original version with a soulful piano melody.
