"Maybe during the vocal recording, embodying the song was a bit difficult to absorb, because I myself have never experienced being left at the altar. So, I had a little difficulty in embodying the song while singing it," explained Aya.

According to Aya, from the lyrical aspect, this song is quite unique because it is very relatable to the situations that happen in daily life. Through the song Mengapa Engkau Pergi, Aya wants to give a message of encouragement to those who were left at the altar by their lovers.

"For those who were left at the altar by their lovers, don't be permanently heartbroken because Allah is surely preparing a much better match than your ex-lover," concluded Aya.
