Concert in Early 2020, Powerslaves Involve Players of 'Anak Langit' Soap Opera

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Powerslaves will soon release a single titled 'Hanya Kamu'. In addition, this year the band, consisting of Heydi Ibrahim (vocals), Anwar Fatahillah (bass), Wiwiex Soedarno (keyboard), and Agung Yudha (drums), will also hold a concert at Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta on January 29th.

In this concert, Powerslaves will also invite actress and singer Natalie Zenn. Natalie plays Tasya in the soap opera 'Anak Langit' which airs on SCTV. Many of Powerslaves' songs are featured in this soap opera. That's why Natalie is taking part in the launch concert of the single 'Hanya Kamu'.

"It's undeniable that Powerslaves' resurgence in the millennial era is also thanks to the collaboration with 'Anak Langit', in which Natalie is involved. Besides, she is also a good and unique singer. Although we come from different genres, we are attracted to unite them on one stage," said Wiwiex Soedarno, as stated in the press release received by Kapanlagi.com on Wednesday, January 8th.

"We always want to create surprises, whether they are small or big, for POWERSLAVES fans." We hope this concert will be a good start for POWERSLAVES for future concerts and also for the preparation of The Best Album, there is also a surprise from us," said Wiwiex.

1. No Drastic Changes in the Arrangement

The original version of Hanya Kamu resides in the album METAL KECIL released in 1995. The basic lyrics were written by Wiwiex and then wrapped in a medium beat romantic music with a touch of rock.

"This song is an expression of true teenage love that cannot be underestimated, so the words 'only you' are revealed," said Wiwiex.

From the arrangement side, the song Hanya Kamu did not undergo drastic changes. However, Wiwiex admitted that the process of working on it took quite a long time.

"When we thought the arrangement was cool, we wouldn't change it. Only the sound underwent quite significant changes due to technological advancements and also because there is a more mature way of singing by Heydi Ibrahim," he said.

"The process of working on it did take some time because we needed some time to refine the details of the song, because this is a work that will be heard forever," concluded Wiwiex.

2. Rerecording Old Hits

As additional information, Powerslaves has re-recorded a number of their old hits because they do not own the master recordings. These songs are being released gradually, with 'Kau dan Aku' being chosen as the opening track since October 24th.

"The old recordings are with the old label. So we decided to re-record the old songs," said Anwar Fatahillah.
