Continue the Spirit of the Song 'Sudahlah', Ear Sun Successfully Performed at IBJ Music Night

Kapanlagi.com - After releasing a single titled Sudahlah, Jakarta-based singer and songwriter, EAR SUN launches with a showcase titled IBJ Music Night, where this stage also serves as a platform to introduce other promising young talents for the future of Indonesian music.

Held at Anjungan Sarinah, Central Jakarta on Thursday, August 8, 2024, IBJ Music Night was opened by three performances from young musicians, including Vanri, Alya Zurayya, Mentari Novel, and concluded by EAR SUN as the finale.

Mentari Novel is a singer/songwriter who recently released her debut album titled That Girl on June 20, 2024. Recently, this album received a four-star rating from the music media Pop Hari Ini.

Meanwhile, Alya Zurayya has also just released her latest single titled “Mungkin Esok Lusa Atau Nanti” on July 1. This is special because the song has been chosen as the original motion picture soundtrack for the film directed by Iwan Kurniawan, “Mungkin Esok Lusa Atau Nanti.”

Lastly, there is Vanri, the moniker of singer/songwriter from Pamulang, South Tangerang, Ivan Heri, who is a graduate of the Earhouse Songwriting Club, a community founded by the pop-folk duo from Pamulang, Endah N Rhesa. Vanri is known for his poetic lyrics in songs like Dawai Asa and Hujan, both of which were released in 2022.

Meanwhile, EAR SUN as the main performer recently also fresh released their latest single titled Sudahlah, which has already reached over 100,000 total streams within about a month.

Not only presenting Sudahlah, Ear Sun successfully entertained visitors with other songs. Terserah and Waktu Sendiri were also beautifully presented to accompany visitors enjoying the night.

Mochamad Andika from IBJ Academy, as the organizer of IBJ Music Night, stated that this event is indirectly an extension of the song Sudahlah which was released on June 28.

Sudahlah encapsulates the problems of a person's journey into adulthood and finding self-actualization, especially in their career. Of course, this song stems from the concerns of most of us in the process of finding the ideal career.

To ensure the essence of the song's message is conveyed clearly, Sudahlah was released in a lyrics video format, with filming done in three countries in Europe: Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. Collaborating with influencer Azizah Salsha, the music video “Sudahlah” was produced over a total of ten days.

“Because the song Sudahlah summarizes the problematics of a person's journey into adulthood and finding self-actualization, especially in their career. In the midst of IBJ Music Night, we also include a talk show menu about careers from experts in their respective fields. So, the common thread still carries the spirit of the song Sudahlah,” explained the man often called Dika.

According to Dika, the combination of the talk show menu and performances from young talents like Vanri, Alya Zurayya, and Mentari Novel will create a unique blend between career discussions and music. “It might even be something you won't find at other music showcases,” said Dika.

IBJ Music Night itself would not take place without support from Gajah Mada Record, cariilmu.co.id, and Cari Kebaikan. This event, presented for free, successfully attracted the attention of hundreds of visitors.

Ear Sun will continue to present many works in 2024. Their major agenda is to release an album titled Nyala in October 2024.
