"Alhamdulillah Dewa 19 is still in demand," said Ahmad Dhani when met in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Wednesday night (16/3).

Ahmad Dhani is very disappointed that there are no new big rock bands emerging nowadays. Therefore, together with Dewa 19, Ahmad Dhani wants to revive the passion for rock music in the country. Wow, will Dewa 19 create something spectacular in the Indonesian music industry?

"It's really a shame that there are no more big rock bands emerging. Why aren't there any more rock music fans?" said Ahmad Dhani.

2. Unexpected

Ahmad Dhani admits that he didn't expect Dewa 19 to still be popular among music lovers of all ages. Even though Ahmad Dhani had planned to retire when he turned 40. Dewa 19's songs are just that cool, so it's no wonder that their listeners come from all ages.

"Yeah, we're trying to revive it. Because we're not a ballad band. We're a rock band that can be an example of producing rock songs," said Ahmad Dhani.

3. Initially Wanted to Retire

Ahmad Dani revealed that he didn't expect many people to like and even still listen to Dewa 19 songs, from the old to the young. Ahmad Dhani had previously stated that he would retire from music at the age of 40.

"But it turns out that it is still needed. I want to add 3 more periods," he concluded.
