Dreams and Hopes of Hoolahoop Expressed in the Song 'Take My Hand'

Kapanlagi.com - Hoolahoop released their latest single entitled Take My Hand. After a long absence of new releases since the album Nirmana (2017), Hoolahoop signifies their readiness by releasing their newest work. Returning with new hopes, this quartet closes all the anxieties they have experienced with Take My Hand at the end of 2020.

The single Take My Hand premiered on Hoolahoop's YouTube channel on December 31, 2020 at 20:00 WIB. It was released as a music audio, showcasing motion graphics of the song's artwork, which was directly created by Aris. It was followed by its release on all of Hoolahoop's digital streaming platforms on January 15, 2021.

1. Hoolahoop's Restlessness

Before the release, a series of videos featuring interviews with the band members were conducted by Prabu from Saturday Night Karaoke. These videos show the news and restlessness experienced by Hoolahoop all this time.

The song Take My Hand tells a story about a dream and hope written directly by the vocalist. Familiarly called Aris, he believes in the power of dreams as a reference to realizing a hope.

2. Production Process

In the production process of Take My Hand, the band members once again acted as producers. As they did in the Nirmana era, the personnel were accompanied by Hadiyan Fazari from Red Studio as co-producer and arranger.

"This song was recorded together with the 'Nirmana' album, but due to the loss of the master data, we had to re-record it. However, the composition and emotions in the new arrangement feel more dynamic, fresh, and magnificent! Hopefully, it can become a new hope for Hoolahoop," said Tama, the drummer.

Take My Hand also received positive comments from several music producers and other musicians.

"This production is awesome. It's solid! In terms of music, production, and performance, it's already well put together!" said Lafa Pratomo.

"A song that brings together the band members with their harmonious energy," said Bisma Karisma.

"After listening carefully, it's definitely great. It starts off with a rhythmic hand clap, then pulls you in to run with the perfect beat. I love the emotional buildup," explained Pepi, Layur.

4. Variety of Music

"The music is diverse, like a complete package with several genres of music blended into one cohesive unit. It's groovy but also takes you on a journey. Hadyan's role as producer and recording engineer hits the mark. Keep rocking, Hoolahoop!" said Davis, Lame Brain.

"The music vibe is really cool, different from previous Hoolahoop songs. But it still has Hoolahoop's distinctive vocals. I genuinely like the music!" said Putra, Burgerkill.

"Wow, when I first listened to it, it's as always in terms of music production, solid. The flow is enjoyable, each part has a clear direction, and it transitions smoothly from a mellow guitar to an upbeat sound. All instruments blend well with the vocals and lyrics. You could say it's a combination of mild-cherry-teenz day material with Nirmana's experimentalism. It has a light touch but also seriousness," explained Pim, Lovely Lolita.
