Feeling Her Story Reflected in the Song 'Kamu Di Masa Depan', Tami Aulia: Keep Failing

Kapanlagi.com - Talented singer who is a graduate of the prestigious art campus, the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, Tami Aulia recently released her debut work. Under the auspices of LOOP Music, Tami launched a single titled 'Kamu Di Masa Depan' (You In the Future).

The song, which has a close connection with the people around her, tells the story of a woman who has trust issues in a relationship and trauma from the past. Not only that, Tami Aulia herself also feels a resemblance to the story in this song.

When met at Kapanlagi Youniverse, Central Jakarta, on Monday (4/7), Tami shared her story. She said that most of the stories contained in the song 'Kamu Di Masa Depan' (You In the Future) were experiences she had gone through.

"It's a personal experience, because I kept failing. Until finally, I didn't want to open my heart again, didn't want to get to know someone from the beginning, are we ready to accept each other, are we ready to accept my past like that," Tami Aulia explained.

"The most relatable part is the chorus, whether or not to accept my way of speaking because many of my exes don't like how I talk, don't like my background," she continued.

When asked further, Tami revealed that most of her exes in the past were reluctant to accept her family background. Especially since Tami herself has a special needs sibling.

"My sibling is autistic, so we talked about how they would become my responsibility. That's one of the biggest conditions for me. And (my exes) have shown that they couldn't handle it, didn't want to," she said.

In addition, in this song, Tami also mentions her lack of self-confidence due to always being betrayed in relationships.

"Actually, I myself feel insecure because I don't know if they will stay or not because I have trust issues. So, I become insecure," she explained.
