Full of Emotion and Deeper Appreciation When Singer Jaz Chants 'Shalawat Asyghil'

Kapanlagi.com - One day before the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1442 H, which falls on July 20, 2021, singer Jaz presents a religious song titled Shalawat Asyghil under the label Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia.

Shalawat Asyghil is a form of prayer as a recognition of the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad SAW and a reminder for Muslims to always follow his teachings and glorify the greatness of Allah SWT.

"We want to present quality musical works that not only contain entertainment and artistic aesthetics, but also bring goodness to all listeners," said Andrey Noorman, Head of Artist & Repertoire, Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, to reporters on Monday (19/7/2021).

"This is in line with Megah Music, a sub-label of Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, which always highlights the core culture of Indonesian society," he added.

Shalawat Asyghil arranged by guitar maestro Tohpati is also available in a music video version uploaded on Megah Music's YouTube channel from Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. Jaz admitted that he needs more devotion when performing Shalawat Asyghil. 

"Because for me, this is a prayer, so I make sure to pronounce it correctly. And that has an impact on a more emotional devotion when performing it. To improve it, I watched many cover videos of Shalawat Asyghil on YouTube as well," said Jaz.
