Having Big Dreams, Div Talks About Mini Album and Desire to Collaborate with Yura Yunita

Kapanlagi.com - The name Div Ivangkia may still be unfamiliar to Indonesian music lovers. Yes, he is a new male solo singer. Although relatively new, his presence needs to be taken into account in the Indonesian music industry.

Until now, Div has released two singles, namely Sembunyi and Terbius. Both are his creations taken from his personal experiences.

"So I do write my own songs. Everything is based on what I feel," said Div when met in North Jakarta some time ago.

Interestingly, his latest song titled Terbius entered the Top 50 charts of AMI Awards 2020. "Suddenly I was surprised by AMI Awards, my song is at number 13. Above it are songs from Judika and other senior singers," said Div.

He acknowledged the appreciation from AMI Awards as one of the sparks for him to be more enthusiastic in creating. "I told my mom about Div's journey as a singer. I am very happy as a new singer to receive appreciation from AMI," he continued.

2. Preparing a Mini Album

As proof of his seriousness in the Indonesian music industry, Div has prepared a mini album that is planned to be released in early 2021. There will be six songs, including Sembunyi and Terbius which have already been released.

"The name of the mini album will be Kitab Hidupku. The songs tell the flashback of my 26 years of life. It includes phases with family, friends, and companions. It's not a specific story, but rather general. Like meetings, farewells, falling in love, happy endings," explained Div.

3. Hoping to be Accepted

He hopes that his songs can be accepted and known by many people and can influence. In addition, Div also has big dreams in his career, namely being able to collaborate with one of his idol singers, Yura Yunita.

"I really want to collaborate with Yura Yunita. I want to create a song or be able to duet with her. According to me, Yura's songs are honest and very easy listening. The groove she brings when performing also fits with her songs," Div hopes.
