Helmy Syah Releases 'Dream', Vicky Shu & Lucky Hakim Say This

This was also welcomed by Helmy Syah who is finally excited to release his latest single titled Dream, which he created himself.

"Alhamdulillah now the entertainment world is recovering since the Covid numbers continue to decline, so now I am more confident to release my third new single. At that time, my debut single was released right at the beginning of covid," said the man from Cilacap, Central Java.

I thought it wouldn't be as long as before. So I took a risk to continue with my second single with the belief that covid would soon end at that time. I didn't expect it to take so long," he added.

The new single titled Dream is sung by Vicky Shu's cousin in English. Helmy Syah was inspired by foreign singers John Mayer and James Bay.

"My latest single is intentionally using English, hoping that it can be accepted more widely. I was inspired by some of my favorite idol singers, one of them being John Mayer and James Bay. This song itself tells the story of searching for the woman who has been dreamed of all this time," said Helmy Syah.

As a fellow artist, Vicky Shu greatly appreciates the works of Helmy Syah. Especially since Helmy Syah's songs are very relevant to the realities of life experienced by many people.

"Helmy is a very passionate person when it comes to creating art. He has always been up-to-date when it comes to talking about music, from national musicians to foreign musicians, and he has also created several songs. As far as I know, his first and second singles were actually his own creations," said Vicky Shu.

Meanwhile, Lucky Hakim, who is Helmy's older brother, always provides support and motivation.

"He has always been interested in the world of music. He often refused to act in soap operas but he is very enthusiastic about working on songs. When our mother passed away, we were all very sad, especially Helmy as the youngest child. Instead of being sad for a long time, I suggested that he make a song. He actually made a song, but the third single seems to be purely his own sadness as he has been single for 3 years and he keeps rejecting being set up, saying he is waiting for the right one," said Lucky Hakim, who always supports Helmy Syah's career.

2. Already Has 3 Singles

Helmy Syah, who has already released 3 singles to date, namely Ku Tak Bisa in 2020 and Jangan Pergi Sayangku in 2021, hopes that his third song titled Dream will be accepted by music lovers in Indonesia and abroad.

Helmy Syah himself started his career as one of the finalists in a talent search for comedy sketches on TV, Kampus Extravaganza, with Omesh, TJ, Papham, in 2007. This man, born in 1986, has also starred in several sitcoms, reality shows, FTVs, modeled, appeared in advertisements, and hosted TV shows.
