High School Kids Form a Punk Rock Band, Sukses Lancar Rejeki Releases Their Debut Album "Can Explode"

Kapanlagi.com - The punk rock trio from Bekasi, Sukses Lancar Rejeki, officially introduced their debut album titled Can Explode on Friday (29/8/2025). The album was released in compact disc (CD) and digital formats, in collaboration with Kobra Musik and the label demajors.

The band consists of Mahes (vocals, guitar), Jalil (bass, vocals), and Bumbum (drums, vocals) and was formed on May 1, 2024. Although they are still high school students, they bravely express their youthful spirit through 13 songs inspired by their daily lives.

"The songs are really about daily life. The daily life of high school kids, experiences. It's relatable," said Mahes to Kapanlagi.com.

The Album Can Explode presents various stories. The song "Thief" invites listeners to reflect on themselves so as not to harm others. The song "Going to the Market with Mom" comes with a humorous tone through the lyrics "Mom, can I buy this – NO WAY! Mom, can I buy that – NO WAY!" which reminds us of childhood.

There are also tracks like "Uncomfortable" with spontaneous and energetic arrangements, and "Brush Your Teeth" which was born from an absurd conversation in front of the bathroom door.

The song "Urgent" also stands out as it tells the story of a student who is only given three seconds by the teacher to ask for permission to go to the toilet, ending with a shout of "RUN!!" as a metaphor for a quick response to an urgent situation.

"Nowadays, there are so many songs about depression, politics, or love. Your ears might need a break, need to laugh, need to smile. So you really should listen to it," said Mahes.

Although still a student, Sukses Lancar Rejeki is not hesitant to target a wider audience. They even plan to do a school tour.

"We actually don’t know the details yet, but there’s talk of a tour during the holidays. So just wait for it," said Mahes.
