HMGNC Celebrates 20 Years Journey by Releasing Vinyl Package and Holding Solo Show

Kapanlagi.com - It's hard to believe that it has been 20 years since the electronic pop trio from Bandung, HMGNC, started their career in the Indonesian music industry. To celebrate this special moment, they are releasing a vinyl package containing a compilation of their best songs. The album package titled Aurorae will be followed by a solo performance at M Bloc Live House, Jakarta.

In collaboration with record label demajors and QUN Films collective, HMGNC is releasing the Aurorae vinyl in an exclusive package. It consists of one long play record containing a compilation of the ten best songs voted through HMGNC's social media accounts, and one 7-inch record containing their two latest singles, Stay and Heart to Feel. It is also accompanied by various inserts such as a booklet and brochure containing texts about their journey, with special artwork created by the QUN Films team.

The Aurorae vinyl package can be purchased through pre-order on the website www.demajors.com from July 28th to August 1st, 2023, until midnight. Only 300 copies will be printed.

"I remember dreaming before, how long will we continue to be a band? If we surpass 20 years, it should be immortalized in vinyl," said Dina Dellyana.

"20 years is not a short journey. After 5 albums, we want to share the stories that have happened over the past 20 years through this vinyl. So this is a dream come true," she added.

After releasing Aurorae, HMGNC will hold a solo performance titled HMGNC 20 Years Concert on August 4th at M Bloc Live House, Jakarta. Featuring White Chorus as the opening band, this concert is organized in collaboration with HMGNC, demajors, M Bloc, and with the support of Geoff Max. Tickets priced at 100 thousand rupiah are available on loket.com since July 26, 2023.

"If only releasing the vinyl seems incomplete, so we dream again to be able to have a 20-year celebration concert. The last solo show was in 2017 during the release of the last album," said Grahadea.

HMGNC 20 Years Concert is a special moment as it also reflects the journey of electronic pop music in Indonesia from the early 2000s until now. Formerly known as Homogenic, HMGNC has been a pioneer in indie electronic pop music in this country. Over the past two decades, they have presented innovative and inspiring works, carving out the history of Indonesian music with their unique style.

"This concert will be a celebration of HMGNC's success and perseverance in the music industry. It is also a tribute to loyal fans who have supported their journey. It must not be missed," explained Angga Badilz, HMGNC's manager.
