Kapanlagi.com - Jazz Gunung is a jazz music event that has been held regularly since 2009. Starting from Bromo, Jazz Gunung has expanded its venue. In 2016, Jazz Gunung was held in the Ijen area, Banyuwangi. This year, Jazz Gunung Series 2024 will also be held in Gunung Slamet and Gunung Burangrang.
Jazz Gunung Slamet, located in Wana Wisata Baturaden, became the opening event of this series. Despite heavy rain causing a delay in the opening for several hours, the enthusiasm of the audience from different generations remained unwavering.
They patiently waited to witness the performances of a cool lineup, starting from legendary musicians such as Nita Aartsen, Mus Mujiono, and Ermy Kulit. There are also a number of young musicians, such as Cresensia Naibaho, Borderline, Langthiep & the Boy Friends, and Sal Priadi.

The Jazz Gunung Indonesia 2024 series began on Gunung Slamet on Saturday (11/5). Initially, the opening of Jazz Gunung Slamet was planned to start at 15.30. However, due to heavy rain at the location, the opening was postponed.
Sigit Pramono, the founder of Jazz Gunung who was met at the location, made a statement regarding this. Because this event concept is in open nature, the risk of postponement due to weather constraints always exists.
"But once again, because our concept is in an open space, not enclosed, there is always a risk like this. Sometimes it stops because of the weather," said Sigit Purnomo.

Furthermore, the founder of Jazz Gunung also explained that weather issues have been experienced before during Jazz Gunung in different locations, namely Bromo and Ijen. However, when the schedule is rearranged according to the weather conditions, the event can still proceed.
"We have experienced (rain) before in Bromo, Ijen. But usually after we arrange and reschedule, it can continue. Hopefully, the rain will stop soon and the concert can begin." Sigit Pramono continued.

Despite being delayed for a few hours, the enthusiasm of the Al'jazziah Congregation remains high. With the intimate concept being carried out, some audience members have started arranging their seats near the stage. However, when the rain started, they dispersed again to find shelter.
Not far from the stage, there is a large pavilion that is actually filled with local SME tenants. There are also scattered tents in several spots. The pavilion and tents were then utilized by the audience as shelter. Some audience members have also prepared raincoats and umbrellas on their own.

The Jazz Gunung Slamet 2024 event truly started at 19:30 WIB. The cold atmosphere of Wana Wisata Baturaden was warmed up by samba music from Cresensia Naibaho as the first performer.
Cresensia, along with the music group formed in Yogyakarta, performed several songs, such as 'Movin To You', 'Ke Bandung', and 'Samba, Sunset and You'. Although some of them have not been officially released, several audience members were able to follow along with the easy-listening tunes.
