Not wanting to stay silent without creating, apparently Donnie Sibarani has been preparing himself to step into his career as a solo singer to remain relevant in the music industry.
After completing various preparations, Donnie Sibarani finally launched his debut solo album titled 'Keajaiban Cinta' (The Miracle of Love) under the auspices of Galery Musik Indonesia (GMI). Donnie admitted that he was very happy because his debut solo album, which contains 10 songs, is finished and available in physical and digital formats.
"Honestly, I'm happy that this album is finally done. Because six months ago, I was offered to make a solo album, I didn't expect it," said Donnie Sibarani during the launch of his debut solo album 'Keajaiban Cinta' at KFC Kemang, South Jakarta, on Monday (18/10) afternoon.
"I didn't expect it, I was offered it during this COVID-19 pandemic. Well, I didn't think twice, I accepted it," he continued.
Donnie said that the production of his debut solo album was completed in just six months, with the help of his friend, Krishna Balagita. Not only that, the 41-year-old man also collaborated with Regina Ivanova, Citra Scholastika, Ricky Rantung, and many others.
"Why Krishna? Because I feel comfortable making music with him since our band days," Donnie said.
The former vocalist of Ada Band admitted that for his debut solo album, he reflected on the offer process presented by GMI. Keajaiban Cinta (The Miracle of Love) was chosen as the album title because all the songs in it tell stories about love.
"At that time, I felt it was miraculous to receive this offer. And these 10 songs are also about love, so the title is Keajaiban Cinta," he said.
In addition, for lyrics about love and pop ballad romantic arrangements, it is presented by a man named Donnie Cahyadi Sibarani. Meanwhile, the chords and music arrangements of Donnie's album 'Keajaiban Cinta' are still in line with the songs he performed when he was still with Ada Band.
"For now, I just want to bridge the longing of my fans for my previous works until now. I also try to follow the current sound quality," he said.
Of course, Donnie Sibarani hopes that his debut album will explode in the market and his works can be enjoyed by music enthusiasts in the country. Meanwhile, Dandy from GMI representative explained the reason why they invited Donnie Sibarani to create his debut solo album. Dandy also did not deny Donnie Sibarani's big name in Ada Band at that time, which moved him to bring Donnie's name back to the music industry.
"In addition, Donnie has been eagerly awaited by the public. So we want to repeat his success in this music industry," concluded Dandy.
