Long Wait of 10 Years, Juicy Luicy Finally Releases Their First Full Album 'SENTIMENTAL'

Kapanlagi.com - Band from Bandung, Juicy Luicy, released an album titled SENTIMENTAL. The band, under the auspices of E-Motion Entertainment, collaborated with Jagonya Music & Sport Indonesia (JMSI) for the physical distribution of the release, which is spread across hundreds of KFC outlets.

There are 11 songs in this album. 6 of them are new songs, while the other 5 songs are songs that have been released for the EP Sentimental: Side A, which was successful in the market. Up to now, the EP has been listened to more than 90 million streams on Spotify.

The band, led by Julian Kaisar (vocals), Denis Ligia (guitar), Zam Zam (saxophone), Dwi Nugroho (drums), and Bina Bagja (bass), is known for producing heartbroken songs. The 6 new songs in the SENTIMENTAL album are also capable of making listeners feel heartbroken.

For example, the songs Jemari and Lantas, which were released earlier as a sign of the presence of the SENTIMENTAL album, have heart-touching lyrics. Not to mention the song Siapa Tahu, which tells the story of hopes and reasons why someone still keeps memories of their lost loved one. Julian, as the vocalist, has his own perspective on the SENTIMENTAL album, which is full of sad songs.

"This album celebrates sadness. When you're sad, just enjoy it. Hopefully, many people can relate to the songs," said Julian Kaisar.

1. Long Wait of 10 Years

Another interesting aspect is the song Kembali Kesepian (Back to Loneliness). In this song, Juicy Luicy collaborates with Adrian Khalif.

"So, at that time, we had already made the first verse and chorus of the song. We wanted to make the second verse but it didn't work out. Finally, we thought of inviting Adrian. When his idea was combined, it fit perfectly," explained Julian Kaisar.

This album, SENTIMENTAL, is also a long-awaited release for the band that has been creating music for 10 years. After a decade of work, Juicy Luicy finally has a full album.

"It's been a long wait of 10 years for us as a band. It may be a bit late, but we're grateful. The recording was done three years ago and finished at the beginning of the pandemic. Originally, we wanted to release it in April. But we waited for the right moment, and this is the moment," stated Julian.

Meanwhile, JMSI CEO Steve Lillywhite is very happy with the presence of the SENTIMENTAL album. According to him, in this album Juicy Luicy presents their best music.

"The production of this album is fantastic. I want the best music at KFC and this band is the best music. When I hear the music, it matches the album title, making it sentimental. JMSI is happy to be part of the band's success," said Steve Lillywhite.
