In the song Suka Kamu, Cinta Laura collaborates again with musician Eka Gustiwana in the arrangement section and Kamga in the vocal section.Cinta Laura said, for the past two years, she has felt that she wants to release songs according to what she wants.

“For the past two years, the music I released felt idealistic.Indeed, the response to songs like Vida, Caliente, Cloud 9, and Markisa was very good.But, I realize, it's time to give listeners what they crave from my music, which is pop, so Suka Kamu was born," said Cinta Laura, on Friday (13/5/2022).

Cinta Laura is so confident in making songs about romance.For Cinta, falling in love doesn't have to look desperate or beg to get it. She wants to describe the feeling of falling in love from the perspective of someone who is strong-willed, confident in themselves, and knows what they want.

"When making Suka Kamu, I told Eka that I wanted a song that makes people feel butterflies in their stomach when they are in love, but at the same time, there must be confident elements.So, the figure in this song is a confident woman who still has principles even when in love," she said.

The song Suka Kamu brings a girlie and feminine nuance, but of course in a more mature way, adjusted to Cinta's current age and personality. During the process of making the song Suka Kamu, Cinta Laura admitted that she did not encounter any difficulties, but she felt challenged when singing this song.

"If we talk about the process of making it, my team and I didn't find any significant difficulties. But, Suka Kamu became a challenge for me because I had to sing like someone who is falling in love. The style is flowery and sweet," said Cinta Laura.

"Because I'm not the type of person who likes to daydream when falling in love, so when I want to get into the character of this song, I need more effort. But, I'm happy to do it because as a singer, we have to be able to sing with various emotions. For that reason, I try to remember my teenage years when I believed in love at first sight," added Cinta Laura.

2. Stand Out

Although there isn't much experimentation in the music arrangement and instruments used, as in Markisa, Cinta tries something new in terms of the music video. The Suka Kamu music video has a 1950s American nuance, around the time of Marilyn Monroe.

"Here, I'm showing a very different side of myself. In terms of appearance, I wear a red wig. Something that people might not have seen from me before. There's no dance element. In addition, for the first time, I made a music video that has a storyline. Actually, this video was planned to be shot in November last year, but it was only realized in March this year," she said.

"I hope this music video surprises everyone who watches it because my team and I have worked very hard to create a strong visual. Hopefully, people who see it will like it and get emotional," she said.

3. Take Risks

Through the single Suka Kamu, Cinta Laura hopes that the wider community listening to it will feel like they're in love, and not hesitate to express those feelings.

"Although afraid of rejection or ending badly, it will make us truly alive. We must dare to take risks to feel all the ups and downs in the feeling of love," Cinta Laura concluded.
