Only 10 Years Old, Ayesha Releases a New Song with Self-Written English Lyrics

Kapanlagi.com - The singing talent possessed by Tompi has apparently been passed down to his child, Cut Malka Ayesha, or better known as Ayesha. This 10-year-old child has just released her latest single, titled It Starts From Home. This is Ayesha's second single, as she had previously released the song I Wanna Dance in 2018.

What's even more special is that the song, which tells about the warmth of family, was written directly by Ayesha. Of course, Ayesha's writing talent is a source of pride for Tompi.

"So, when I asked her to write the lyrics for this second single, I had the melody idea but didn't know what the lyrics should be about. I told Ayesha to write about family, something they experience, something they see, something they feel, so it would be more relatable. Finally, this song's lyrics came out, and they were the ones who wrote it. I just gave them guidance, and the rest was their work," said Tompi at Rumah Lestari, M Bloc Space, South Jakarta, on Thursday (1/16/2020).

1. Show Talent Since Early Age

Ayesha's singing talent has been evident for a long time. Moreover, Ayesha herself has a hobby of singing. Tompi said, even before Ayesha entered Elementary School, she already enjoyed singing. Because Ayesha has singing abilities, Tompi eventually found a vocal teacher for her.

"Well, it all started from her hobby, coincidentally Ayesha loves to sing. So since she was little, even before Elementary School, she started to enjoy singing. One time I asked her if she wanted to learn seriously, if she did, we would facilitate it and find a vocal teacher for her. Because I was quite busy and afraid that I couldn't give her enough details when she wanted to apply them to new songs, I helped her with the basic techniques once a week learning with a teacher," said Tompi.

2. English Lyrics

Ayesha's new single is written in English. It's not because she's trying to be pretentious by using English, but Ayesha herself hasn't been able to find the vocabulary in Indonesian.

"She (Ayesha) doesn't know some Indonesian vocabulary. But she wants to, Glenn Fredly and I also discussed it and her next desire is to use Indonesian. Again, I don't like to force it because now it seems that language is not a determining factor in the digital era," Tompi concluded.
