Following its previous success, Pagelaran Sabang Merauke will be held again at Ciputra Artpreuner, Jakarta on November 12th and 13th, 2022. This event is presented by iForte in collaboration with BCA, featuring a live performance concept. Check out the full details below.
After the success in Yogyakarta and Jakarta, Pagelaran Sabang Merauke will be held again at Ciputra Artpreuner, Jakarta on November 12th and 13th, 2022.
The Sabang Merauke performance carries the concept of live performance by presenting 22 regional songs consisting of 21 regional songs and one national song.
This event will also feature six national singers, 46 traditional and modern musicians, and 144 professional dancers. The European Grand Prix Choral Singing 2022 champion, Batavia Madrigal Singers, and Kikan Namara will also enliven the event.
This time's event also coincides with the spirit of Youth Pledge and Heroes' Day, emphasizing the importance of love for the homeland.
Kikan Namara, who was appointed as the music director, expressed her joy in being trusted again for this event.
"The challenge when deciding which song represents a province is a big one. Alhamdulillah, as Indonesians, we have popular songs," said Kikan.
There will be 144 dancers who will perform traditional dances beautifully and in a modern way.
One of the most anticipated performances is by the Batavia Madrigal Singers choir.
"It is indeed a challenge to incorporate a choir element in a semi-musical performance. Basically, the music is already full, with lead vocals and backing vocals. The presence of Batavia is very challenging. I am quite optimistic that this uniqueness will be an added value, a selling point for those who come," continued Kikan.
This time there are several changes made to make the event more dynamic, where the stage will be made glamorous. There will even be a very luxurious LED display.
Some important figures in the Sabang Merauke Show: Kikan Namara (music director), Norisa Saifuddin (Senior Vice President of BCA), Silvi Liswanda (Vice President Director of iForte), and Rusmedi Agus (Director of the Sabang Merauke Show).
The Sabang Merauke Show can be watched by the general public with tickets priced at Rp 100,000 which can be purchased at Tiket.com and Blibli.com.
