Portrait of the Excitement of GAIA Music Festival 2022: Jazz In The Valley Day 1 - Featuring Andien, Sokhi, and Barry Likumahuwa

Taking place at the Amphitheater of The Gaia Hotel Bandung, GAIA Music Festival 2022: Jazz In The Valley's first day was held on Friday (25/11) last week. Rain fell and wet the venue while Sokhi was performing as the opening act. The performance was temporarily postponed.

However, the audience still stayed in the amphitheater with a roof, while enjoying the provided warm drinks.

"Representing The Gaia Hotel Bandung and GAIA Music Festival, we express our gratitude to the audience who are willing to wait for the event to continue," he said during the event.

"This hotel is designed to provide a new and enhanced experience for our guests. This is certainly a new experience for the audience to enjoy and celebrate music in the rain. It creates a more romantic atmosphere, doesn't it?" he added.

Sokhi, who admitted that this was his first performance in Bandung, expressed similar sentiments. Their enthusiasm heightened as they arrived at the hotel venue and immediately prepared the carnival concept.

"The venue is beautiful and it makes us excited," said Sokhi's violinist, Rolanda Sasongko.

Meanwhile, Andien, who was the closing performer on the first day, proved her promise to perform in a special format, namely a big band format.

Not only her hit songs like 'Gemintang', Andien also warmed up the atmosphere with her special format by performing 'Kopi Dangdut'.

"I adjusted it to GAIA's own name, which means earth. Well, the big band format that is usually in a hall, I intentionally brought it here to be more grounded and closer to nature," explained Andien.

Barry Likumahuwa, who performed after Sokhi, even rearranged his songs and performed 'Dirimu Hadir'.

"The atmosphere is very supportive, I changed the song list to songs that make the audience sing along. As my first experience playing at GAIA Music Festival, I hope this event continues every year," said Barry.
