Prepare Hit Songs, Powerslaves Holds Virtual Concert 'Konser 7 Ruang'

Kapanlagi.com - The band Powerslaves will hold a virtual concert titled 'Konser 7 Ruang' on Sunday, July 5, 2020. 'Konser 7 Ruang' in collaboration with DSS Musik, will broadcast live music using the YouTube social media platform.

This will be Powerslaves' first concert since the COVID-19 pandemic hit three months ago. Despite not performing live, the band from Semarang continues to create. In April, Powerslaves released the single 'Stare At Me'.

1. Different Mentality

"(Virtual concert) is something new for us. Hopefully there will be no difficulties because we have often jammed virtually before. However, our mentality might be different because we are not directly facing the audience. Yes, it feels like we are playing alone," Wiwiek Soedarno, Powerslaves' keyboardist, Thursday (2/7/2020).

'Konser 7 Ruang' itself emerged due to the loss of livelihood for artists amid the pandemic. Regarding the concert costs, an open donation system is implemented. The results will be divided into two halves, one half for the performing artists, and the other half for the artists and production team.

2. Caring about the Musicians' Condition

"This COVID-19 pandemic has trained us to be able to share, with anyone across anything. However much fortune we receive, we will definitely be grateful," said Powerslaves vocalist, Heydi Ibrahim.

"So, this kind of donation distribution is very good. In times of crisis like this, there is an innovation from DSS Music and Mas Donny Handono who care about the condition of musicians, artists, and production teams whose activities have been halted. It is very appropriate to be divided into two because we are a team that should support each other," added Anwar Fatahillah, Powerslaves bassist.

3. There is a Main Obstacle

It is not easy to hold a virtual concert with this kind of concept. The main obstacle is always about the unstable internet in Indonesia. Not to mention the inadequate equipment. However, DSS Music fulfills both of these requirements. Their studio consists of three combined houses.

Thus, the audio and video cable connections will not have any delay at all. Yes, it's like a concert in one building. The sound and image quality are also the same as television broadcasts.

4. Prepare Hit Songs

"Studio DSS has made this 'Konser 7 Ruang' several times. Technically, it is very safe. The equipment specifications we use are all available at DSS," said Anwar Fatahillah.

"We will prepare hit songs, especially from the first album. Because this is a streaming concert that will be watched live in all parts of the world," concluded Wiwiek Soedarno.
