Preparing for a New Single, Tata Liem Talks About Farewell

Kapanlagi.com - Not only as an artist manager, Tata Liem has also ventured into acting and singing. Towards the end of 2021, Tata Liem is preparing a work in the world of singing. The single titled Saranghaeyo, composed by Div Ivangkia, is being worked on and will be released in January next year.

Div is also a young and talented singer-songwriter. For Tata, his meeting with Div is a great collaboration to bring to the Indonesian music industry.

"I met Div, he had an idea to make a song for me. When I was given the song, I liked it. The music is a ballad but made more contemporary. This is me combining my singing style from the 90s," said Tata Liem when met in the Tangerang area not long ago.

The title of the song is deliberately made more contemporary by using the Korean language. This song was born from Tata Liem's deep story to Div. Although titled Saranghaeyo, the song tells a story of a farewell. In this case, Tata Liem made a more universal farewell, not just a matter of love.

"The story is about a farewell. But here I made a more universal farewell. This is based on my story, but some things were changed so that listeners can relate more to the song," explained Tata Liem.

1. Lots of Support from Friends

Tata Liem admitted to receiving a lot of support from his friends and some music directors from the radio. Funny enough, when he played it for them, Tata Liem actually received jokes from his friends.

"I've given a hearing to some friends and radio music directors. They said the song is good, but why does it have to be me who sings it, hahaha," said Tata.

Aware of his vocal capacity in the singing world, Tata Liem does not have big goals for his upcoming single. For him, at the moment, he just wants to have fun through his work.

"I don't mind if people say my voice isn't good because I'm not a singer. At my age, I just want to be happy. Singing is also a work of art, something positive. If it is accepted by the public, that's a bonus," said Tata Liem.
