Kapanlagi.com - Apparently, since leaving the band that made his name, Giring Ganesha's relationship with Nidji's personnel has become strained. Even Randy Danistha admitted that he hasn't met his former vocalist since 2017.
When approached in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday (5/6), Randy said that he and the other Nidji personnel no longer have the same path as Giring. He and the Nidji personnel continue to make music, while Giring is into politics.
Not only that, but Randy also admitted that he doesn't have Giring's phone number.
"I haven't been in contact for a long time. I don't even have his number. We already have our own lives, and if he chooses that path, it's up to him," said Randy Danistha.
"We're also focusing on Nidji again with Ubay, so we're not bothered by this anymore. So we haven't met again since 2017," he continued.
When asked further, unfortunately Randy was reluctant to openly reveal what Nidji personnel felt about Giring's decision to leave and enter the world of politics. Randy also mentioned that Nidji expressed everything through their single titled Wadoow.
"That song describes when we are at the point where I want to choose path A but it has to be that way. What else can we say? Just wadoow," he said.
In addition, Randy also admitted that he did not feel disappointed with Giring's choice to enter politics, because he realized that everyone has the right to choose their own path in life. He also guaranteed that there are no plans for Nidji to reunite with their former vocalist in the future.
"Even talking about disappointment or not, it's not possible anymore, so it's wadaw. Let's wait and see where he gets his seat, haha. If it's up to me, I can guarantee it won't be in the near future. Maybe we don't know 20 years from now. But not in the near future," he concluded.
