Reality Club is spreading its wings abroad once again! This indie-rock band will be part of a major music festival in America representing Indonesia. Debuting in late 2016, Reality Club is an indie band nominated by AMI as the Best Alternative Band of 2023 and also as the Best Newcomer Band in 2018.
“We are very excited to celebrate music together with Jaded at FRIENDS:FOREVER. We are also thrilled to represent Indonesia, and even Southeast Asia, at SXSW. Our music style is quite diverse and we play various genres, so get ready for an exciting musical journey. We can't wait to have fun together, meet new friends, and celebrate music,” said Faiz, a member of Reality Club.
Consisting of 4 members, namely Fathia Izzati (vocalist and keyboardist), Faiz Novascotia Saripudin (vocalist and guitarist), Era Patigo (drummer), and Nugi Wicaksono (bassist), Reality Club has also held concerts in several countries including Tokyo Malaysia, Jeddah, Singapore, and will participate in upcoming music festivals in America.

It is an honor for Reality Club to perform at the annual event South by Southwest Music Festival or SXSW in 2024. Taking place in Austin, Texas, United States, Reality Club is ready to showcase their talent on the world stage. The event will be held for nine days (March 8-16, 2024).
It is rumored that Reality Club will perform in the event FRIENDS:FOREVER, which is the largest Asian country music event in the SXSW track record. This music event is organized by Jaded (an American company owned by Asians). Jaded has also successfully held similar music events such as Tiger Den. And this year it is titled FRIENDS:FOREVER and will take place for two days (March 14-15, 2024) at Empire Control Room & Garage.

Although this is an Indonesian band, all of their songs use English in every lyric. Without any home production, Reality Club has become a true indie band group. All of their works can be said to be done in a home-made manner, but who would have thought they could become world-renowned like they are now?
In 2017, the band successfully released their first album titled Never Get Better with a composition of 13 songs in it. Last year in 2019, they also released their second album titled What Do You Really Know? with 11 songs in it. And their latest release is an album titled Reality Club Presents with 10 songs, and the most popular one is the song titled Love Epiphany.

Reality Club is not the first to perform at SXSW. There are several indie bands that have represented Indonesia in previous years.
It can be said that Indonesia always sends its representatives every year. Some of these bands include: Efek Rumah Kaca, White Shoes & The Couples Company, The SIGIT, Shaggydog, Yacko, and Tuan Tigabelas.
