Kapanlagi.com - In March 2021, Stephanie Poetri released her debut mini album titled AM:PM. As known, all of her songs are in English. Apparently, she has difficulty creating songs in Indonesian.
"Because Indonesian words often have many syllables, it's difficult to convey multiple meanings in one sentence or verse," said Stephanie Poetri to Kapanlagi.com.
In Stephanie's newly released album, there are 6 songs divided into 2 types. The division is based on the time of day, AM and PM.
"AM:PM is my (mini) album, which consists of 6 songs divided into two sides, AM and PM. Because this album follows two different vibes according to the time of day," she added.

Although Stephanie Poetri will eventually be able to create songs in Indonesian, she admits that she is not confident enough to sing them herself. The only Indonesian song she has sung is the song 'Bimbang' for the soundtrack of the movie ADA APA DENGAN CINTA 2 in 2016.
"Maybe one day I can write a song for someone in Indonesian, but maybe I'm not ready to sing it myself," said the girl born on May 20, 2000.
When creating a song or choosing which song to release as a single, the singer of I LOVE YOU 3000 also admitted to having many discussions with her mother, Titi DJ.
"My mom helps me choose which songs to release as singles. We often talk about music, especially new music that comes out," she concluded.
