Release of Religious Song, Charly Van Houten Collaborates with the Son of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - Soon, Muslims around the world will welcome the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. Along with that, famous musician and songwriter, Charly Van Houten, is once again presenting a religious single titled Bulan Dirindu.

Not alone, Charly will collaborate with Syauqi Ma'ruf Amin, who is the son of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin. In a remote interview held on Wednesday (22/4), Charly talked about the beginning of his collaboration with the man familiarly called Gus Syauqi.

"I used to visit abah's (Ma'ruf Amin) house, and I also met Gus Syauqi. It's been a while since we last met, finally there's an opportunity to collaborate on this project. Gus Syauqi is not a musician by background, but he is very productive in creating songs," said Charly Van Houten.

1. Prepare Mini Album

Not only a duet in just one song, Charly and Gus Syauqi plan to release an EP (mini album) in the future. There are already a total of 7 songs prepared by both of them to welcome the month of Ramadan. The song Bulan Dirindu itself is created by Gus Syauqi.

"I believe that what is conveyed in this song is felt by everyone. Muslims everywhere always long for the month of Ramadan," he said.

2. Becomes a Remedy for Public Sadness

As known, there is something different about this year's Ramadan related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Charly and Gus Syauqi hope that their work can be a remedy for public sadness and anxiety.

"In situations like this, we are being tested. Hopefully, this song can bring peace to everyone who listens to it," Gus Syauqi hopes.

Muhammad Daud, as the producer of MSI Record, praised Gus Syauqi's song. According to him, the lyrics are easy to understand, relevant, and relatable to the current situation.

"The song is extraordinary, it can really be felt, the lyrics are simple, easy, but impactful," he praised.
