Release of Singe Esso with Three Languages, Swerte Collaborates with Saykoji

Kapanlagi.com - Lately, the hip hop scene in Indonesia has been developing well. Many rappers or hip hop musicians have emerged, coloring the Indonesian music industry. The hustle and bustle of hip hop music in Indonesia is also felt by Swerte, an Indonesian-Swiss musician who is now based in Dubai.

He is now returning to the hip hop track with his debut solo single titled Esso. Swerte is not a new name, he is a rapper who once formed a group called The Southsiderz in Indonesia and also became the opening act for Dewi Sandra's show in the late 90s.

Previously, Swerte has released 3 Mixtapes titled The Mini Mixtape Series, as well as a project called 'Raconteur' which brought him back to Indonesia to perform in several shows. Besides being a rapper, he also manages The Recipe in Dubai and handles the activities of the group together with the label under which he is signed.

After spending 10 years as a member of The Recipe, which has also been the opening act for several international artists such as Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Dave East, Koffee, and many more, Swerte is now ready to make a comeback in the music industry with his debut single 'Esso'.

2. Stories About Their Feelings

'Esso' itself tells the story of each artist's feelings and the experiences they have had during the lockdown and various events that have occurred throughout 2020. Protests, disappointments, and feelings of gratitude are all expressed in this song. In addition, Swerte's ability to play vocals with autotune while delivering lyrics quickly, along with the powerful anthemic drill beat, makes 'Esso' the perfect song for Swerte's debut single.

Not alone, Swerte also collaborates with Freek, a Drill Artist from Arabia and a rap musician from Indonesia, Saykoji. Produced by Mjeezy, this song is not only performed in one language. Three different languages are showcased in 'Esso', namely English, Indonesian, and Arabic, which, despite their differences, still make 'Esso' an extraordinary unity.
