Remake Song Jeda, Collaboration with Wika Salim

Kapanlagi.com - A project that was delayed and was supposed to be realized last year, finally completed in 2023. After collaborating with Fiersa Besari earlier this year, For Revenge (fR) invited Wika Salim to collaborate on a single remake titled Jeda.

“This is a project that was postponed in 2022. Shortly after the release of the song Jeda, we wanted to do something unimaginable, collaborating with a dangdut singer. Wika Salim was the first option. The plan has finally come true,” explained Boniex, the vocalist.

Jeda itself has a song about a very complex end of a relationship. A relationship that started wrong will also end wrong.

"Why Jeda? Because something very heavy has been passed, sometimes it requires a pause," added Boniex.

2. Use Two Perspectives

However, unlike Jeda's single released in 2022, in this version, which is also still released under the auspices of Didi Music Records for Revenge, it uses two perspectives in writing the lyrics. Wika Salim represents the woman's perspective in the heartbreak story.

"The hope is that with these two perspectives, the message of the song can be better understood by the listeners," said Arief, the guitarist, adding.

For Revenge itself is an emo unit from Bandung consisting of Boniex (Vocal), Arief (Guitar), Izha (Bass), and Chimot (Drums). This quartet has released 4 albums including Perayaan Patah Hati - Babak 1 released in 2022 with Serana as their flagship single. At the end of 2023, fR plans to release a sequel to the album titled Perayaan Patah Hati - Babak 2.
