Sammy Simorangkir Collaborates with Ade Govinda Through the Song 'Luka Yang Luas'

The song 'Luka Yang Luas' was created by Ade Govinda, an up-and-coming Indonesian composer. According to Ade, this song tells the story of a deep disappointment due to sacrifices that ended in vain.

"This song narrates about someone who is at an extraordinary point of disappointment regarding their sacrifices that ended up in vain, leaving only tears and a very deep wound," said Ade Govinda.

Not only that, Ade Govinda also revealed the reason behind his decision to entrust this song to Sammy. He mentioned that Sammy is indeed on his list of dream singers to perform his creations.

"Since 2015, I have had a list of singers I really want to sing my songs, and Sammy is one of them. And finally, the universe brought us together in 2023," said Ade Govinda.

2. Prepare for a New Album

Meanwhile, in addition to launching the song 'Luka Yang Luas', Sammy is also preparing a new album. The album titled 'Yang Terbaik' is planned to be released simultaneously in media and digital platforms on May 9, 2025.

"This album contains eight songs. Hopefully, through this album, I can continue to create and entertain many people," said Sammy Simorangkir.

'Wide Wound' itself became the second single from the album after Sammy previously released 'While There's Time'. Interestingly, the song 'While There's Time' is also a collaboration with Ade Govinda.

"'While There's Time' was released early last year, and it was also a collaboration with Ade. So actually our chemistry has been quite strong," said Sammy.
