Kapanlagi.com - The concert titled "God Bless 50th Anniversary Concert with Tohpati Orchestra" was just held at Istora Senayan on Friday (10/11/2023). The band, consisting of Ian Antono (guitar), Donny Fattah (bass), Achmad Albar (vocals), Abadi Soesman (keyboard), and Fajar Satritama (drummer), successfully rocked thousands of spectators with the songs they performed on stage.
The concert was opened by the band group Padi Reborn. On stage, Fadly CS performed several of his hit songs, such as Begitu Indah, Bayangkanlah, Sang Penghibur, Sobat. As a sign of respect, Padi Reborn sang one God Bless song titled Misteri.
"It is a great honor for Padi Reborn to be part of God Bless' 50th anniversary event. May God Bless always be healthy, have a long life, and continue to create legendary works," said Fadly, the vocalist of Padi Reborn before singing the song Misteri.
"This song is our tribute to God Bless. It is one of the least performed God Bless songs," continued Fadly.

After Padi Reborn, senior presenter Helmy Yahya appeared. On stage, Helmy Yahya was amazed by God Bless who still survives and exists after 50 years. The younger brother of Tantowi Yahya then briefly narrated God Bless' journey from the beginning of their career until now.
Before God Bless took the stage, the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) awarded the band, which has been standing since 1973, with the MURI record as the "Oldest Active Rock Band".
Shortly after that, Tohpati and his orchestra players took the stage and were enthusiastically welcomed by the audience. Then, one by one, the members of God Bless appeared on stage. Starting with Fajar Satratama, Abadi Soesman, Ian Antono, Donny Fattah, and finally Achmad Albar.
Their presence was immediately greeted with thunderous applause from the packed Istora Senayan. Before starting their performance, Achmad Albar was surprised by the large number of audience members attending the 50th anniversary concert of God Bless.
"Good evening, everyone. Wow, it's crowded," said Achmad Albar to the audience.

God Bless opened their concert with the songs Musisi and Bla Bla Bla. After performing these two songs, God Bless bassist, Donny Fattah, was replaced by an additional player due to his health condition. "Our friend Donny had to step down due to his health. Please pray for him," said Iyek. Despite Donny being replaced by an additional player, God Bless still delivered their best performance to the audience. God Bless continued their stage act with the songs Selamat Pagi Indonesia, Menjilat Matahari, Cermin, Maret 1989, Balada Sejuta Wajah, Syair Kehidupan, Sudahlah Aku Pergi, and Huma Diatas Bukit.
God Bless' 50th anniversary concert became even more exciting. In the middle of the show, they brought in several renowned musicians for collaborations. First, God Bless collaborated with Eet Sjahranie and Kotak for the song Serigala Jalanan. Then, together with Kaka Slank, God Bless sang the song Zakia.
Next, it was Anggun's turn to take the stage. In front of the audience, Anggun performed her own song titled Mimpi accompanied by the Tohpati Orchestra. After that, God Bless returned to the stage and collaborated with Nicky Astria for the song Panggung Sandiwara.

As a closing, the collaborators also returned to the stage. Both God Bless personnel and the collaborators were enthusiastic and happy. This concert, held by PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk and promoted by Northstar Entertainment, with the show management by Megapro Communication, went smoothly and successfully.
