Suckerhead Guitarist Passes Away Due to Stroke

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news came from the metal band Suckerhead. Their guitarist, Sumedi Sumarmo alias Medi, passed away on Monday (6/9/2021) due to stroke. The sad news was conveyed directly through Suckerhead's Instagram @Suckerheadband.

"Kullu nafsin dzaiqotul maut. La haula wala quwwata illa billahil azhim. Innalilahi wainna lilahi rajiun. Our brother Sumedi Sumarmo (Medi Sucker Head, guitar) has passed away due to stroke," wrote the caption of the post posted on Instagram @Suckerheadband, Monday (6/9/2021).

"Address of condolences: Bukit Cengkeh 2, in front of Taman Bukit Kemiri Blok B1A No.2 - RT 02/RW 06, Cimanggis, Depok. Please forgive him if he made mistakes and had shortcomings in his interactions with you. And please pray for him," continued the caption.

Suckerhead is a metal band formed in 1989. Initially, Suckerhead consisted of the late Irfan Sembiring (guitar), the late Krisna J. Sadrach (bass), Yachya Wacked (vocals), Nano (guitar), and Doddy (drums) in 1989.

1. Suckerhead Once Reorganized Personnel

Apparently, the initial formation of Suckerhead did not last long. They once reorganized their personnel until finally in 1995, Sucker Head reached an agreement with Aquarius Musikindo record label to release their first album, The Head Sucker, with the formation of Krisna J. Sadrach (bass/vocals), Nano (guitar), Untung (guitar), and Robin Hutagaol (drums).

Not stopping there, Suckerhead once again reorganized their personnel. Until finally in 2017, Suckerhead appeared with the formation of Krisna J. Sadrach (vocals/bass), Nano Rooseno (guitar), Bakar Bufthaim (drums), and Medy (guitar). However, this formation also did not last long. The vocalist who was also the bassist of Suckerhead, Krisna J. Sadrach, passed away in 2016.

Throughout their career in the Indonesian music industry, Suckerhead has produced several works, such as The Head Sucker, Manic Depressive, Paranatural, 10th Agresi, Hipertensi, and Simphoni Kehidupan.
