Tiara Andini Sings Dewi Sandra's Song 'Buktikan', Vidi Aldiano is Extremely Happy

Actually, Vidi Aldiano himself had sung the song Buktikan before he started his career as a professional singer. However, because the song Buktikan was considered difficult, Vidi Aldiano gave up on singing that phenomenal song.

"This is my favorite Indonesian song. In 2007, I was still in school but I already loved singing. Back when I was in a band, I wanted to perform this song, but I gave up because I hadn't reached the skill level yet," said Vidi Aldiano in a virtual press conference on Friday (10/1/2021)

Once he started his career as a professional singer, Vidi Aldiano finally got the opportunity to sing the song Buktikan on stage with the original singer, Dewi Sandra.

"Until finally in 2009 when I entered the music industry, I had the opportunity to perform this song with the original singer, Dewi Sandra," he said.

Then, as time went by, Vidi Aldiano had the chance to sing a different version of the song Buktikan. In this song, Vidi Aldiano collaborated with a talented young singer, Tiara Andini.

"I didn't expect that in the end, in 2021, I would perform this song with Tiara. Hopefully, this song can be heard with a new nuance, without losing the essence and message of the original song. This song is like a song that I always play, if we sing karaoke, we will definitely perform this song. It's a burden, but a good burden," said Vidi Aldiano.

"Thanks also to Tiara for inviting me to this amazing collaboration. This is one of the enjoyable and exciting collaborations, and the song is also very challenging. Hopefully, this song can bring back the nostalgia that already existed before, but packaged in a more fresh way," concluded Vidi Aldiano.
