Two Decades with the Label, D'Masiv Officially Decides to Become an Indie Band and Releases an English Song!

"Today we are indeed holding an event where we are releasing D'MASIV's single, which we may have already mentioned earlier that we are now independent after almost 20 years with our previous record label," said Rian D'MASIV when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (20/5/2026).

"So we have our own record label, and we are doing everything ourselves, and coincidentally, for this single, we are collaborating with A&R Worldwide, which is a development agency company in America," he continued.

Interestingly, this song is prepared for the international market with distribution reaching the United States to England. Rian emphasized that although targeting the global market, D'Masiv will never forget their large fan base at home.

"Because for us, even though this is for us to release globally, we still have to inform those in Indonesia. Because for us, we never thought about leaving this market, because what makes us stronger is the Indonesian people," he said.

Significant changes are also felt in the language used in their song lyrics. D'Masiv dares to release works with fully English lyrics, which is planned to continue until a complete album.

"But maybe the difference is that our songs are now in English, it might be a little unfamiliar for those who usually listen to D'MASIV's Indonesian songs. Now we are trying to dare to create English songs and the plan is to later have one English album," Rian revealed.

The release strategy for the work has been carefully planned. After the launch of the debut single at the end of May, D'Masiv plans to release the second single in September before finally launching the full album early next year.

"The plan is now to release this single on the 27th on DSP (Digital Streaming Platform), then maybe a few months later, in September, there will be a second single, and then at the beginning of the year, the album will come out," he concluded.
