This band from Garut, West Java, carries the rock/metal genre and is led by three young girls named Firdda Marsya Kurnia (vocals and guitar), Widi Rahmawati (bass), and Euis Siti Aisyah (drums), who always perform wearing hijab.
Not just any ordinary band, VoB already has a hit single titled School of Revolution that has received positive responses from music lovers and musicians. And now, Marsya and her friends have achieved an even more remarkable accomplishment.
Yes, VoB is officially included in the list of performers at Wacken Open Air 2022, an iconic metal festival and one of the largest in the world. Wacken Open Air is held once a year in a village called Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein since 1990.

The news about VoB's inclusion in the Wacken Open Air 2022 lineup was first announced on Saturday (26/6) through the official Instagram account of Wacken Open Air. Just imagine, Marsya CS will perform on the same stage with world-renowned metal bands like Slipknot, Judas Priest, Rammstein's Till Lindemann, and many others.
Wacken Open Air 2022 is planned to be held from August 4th to August 8th.
"Of course, Wacken Open Air is on our wish list. I have mentioned the name of this festival many times until I almost gave up on being able to perform there. But when I saw our name on the lineup, the feeling of appreciating myself immediately came because I have tried so hard and now my dreams are becoming a reality one by one," said Marsya, the vocalist and guitarist, in a press release.
Siti, the drummer, was also surprised by the news. "When I read the news, I was truly shocked. I don't know what to say. I'm just very proud because every hope and dream that I wrote and expressed has come true. That's why I will never be afraid to dream!"
Here is some information about Voice of Baceprot, this band was established on February 14, 2014. At that time, Marsya, Siti, and Widi were just casually forming a band and participating in a music competition at their school. Unexpectedly, they were able to survive until now and create a very anti-mainstream image in the music industry.
VoB's music is inspired by bands such as System Of A Down, Rage Against The Machine, and Machine Head. Throughout their professional career, VoB has gained recognition from various metalheads, not only in Indonesia but also abroad. In fact, musicians like Tom Morello and Flea have no hesitation in praising the greatness of VoB.
