Weda Nanda Releases Debut Single 'To Die For', Featuring Rian D'Masiv and Rayen Pono

Kapanlagi.com - Weda Nanda is a multi-talented public figure. If you have known him more as an actor, it turns out that the Surabaya-born man also has great talent in music. Last Saturday (8/21), he just introduced his debut single titled To Die For.

This Weda single is released under the umbrella of Semesta Musik Indonesia label. What's special is that this song is a creation by Ekky Pradipta alias Rian D'Masiv, who is known for his skill in creating hit songs.

To Die For is even used as the official soundtrack for the horror film MUSRYIK, in which Weda is also involved. It was through this film project that the handsome long-haired guy first met Rian.

"From talking and hearing him sing, I see something unique in him. He has a distinctive voice that I don't find in other singers," praised Rian for Weda in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

1. A Story Relating to Weda's Teenage Years

Furthermore, Rian sees Weda as a singer who is different from the others. Based on that reason, Rian didn't hesitate to write a song for Weda.

"Unlike new singers who sometimes don't know which direction they want to go, I see that Weda has a clear vision and mission for the future. From the clear music references that are suitable for her age, she knows and can visualize herself as a singer in the future," Rian continued.

Although To Die For was written by Rian, the song itself tells a story about a romantic relationship that relates to what Weda feels as a teenager. Even though the song is in Indonesian, Weda added a modern touch to the title, giving the song a contemporary nuance.

The production of this single didn't take too long. In the process, Rian introduced Weda to Rayen Pono, who became Weda's arranger and vocal director. Previously, Rayen was widely known as a singer and vocal coach on Indonesian Idol.

"I feel that Mr. Rayen really knows my vocal character and he can push my singing abilities by teaching me various vocal techniques that I previously didn't understand much," Weda expressed her impression of Rayen's presence.
