Young Singer, Asila Maisa Releases Debut Single 'Curang' Composed by Melly Goeeslaw

Since 3 years ago, Asila has had a desire to release her own work. She then focused on honing her skills with vocal exercises and began regularly posting videos of her singing on social media accounts.

It was from there that Asila's talent was finally noticed and appreciated by Melly Goeslaw. Melly praised Asila's singing talent and was interested in creating a song for her.

The song 'Curang' was written by Melly and also arranged by Anto Hoed. This pop genre song raises the theme of a hurt love story. The touching lyrics are wrapped in majestic orchestral music and excellent musical arrangements.

Before going through the recording process, Asila admitted to practicing a lot for this song, both vocal and physical exercises. Because she realized that this song is not easy to perform. It requires excellent vocal abilities and the right soulfulness to convey the essence of the song.

"I went through a workshop process with Aunt Melly for this song. I was surprised that Aunt Melly dared to give me overtone notes and many improvisation challenges in this song. Aunt Melly said I can definitely conquer this song. The recording process was also fast because I was accompanied by Aunt Melly directly with Aunt Rieka Roslan. I really prepared myself with a lot of practice. Because for me, this song is difficult, especially with the orchestra. So I have to be able to perform this song with the right interpretation," explained Asila.
