Tarawih itself is a voluntary prayer that is specifically performed during the month of Ramadan. Tarawih itself means a momentary time to rest. 1. Surah An-Nas

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

qul a'uzu birabbin-nas

malikin-nas

ilahin-nas

min syarril-waswasil-khannas

allazi yuwaswisu fi sudurin-nas

minal-jinnati wan-nas

Meaning:

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind, The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer - Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind."

 

 

 

2. Surah At-Takathur

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

al-hakumut-takathur

hatta zurtumul-maqabir

kalla saufa ta'lamun

summa kalla saufa ta'lamun

kalla lau ta'lamuna 'ilmal-yaqin

latarawunnal-jahim

summa latarawunnaha 'ainal-yaqin

summa latus'alunna yauma'izin 'anin-na'im

Meaning:

Excessive competition for worldly gain distracted you, until you entered the grave.

No! You will soon know (the consequences of) your actions. No! You will soon know.

No! If only you knew with certainty, you would surely see the Hellfire. Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

Then on that Day, you will surely be asked about the pleasures (of worldly life).

 

 

 

3. Surah Al-Lahab

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

tabbat yada abi lahabiw wa tabb

ma agna 'an-hu maluhu wa ma kasab

sayasla naran zata lahab

wamra'atuh, hammalatal-hatab

fi jidiha hablum mim masad

Meaning:

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!

His wealth and what he has earned will not avail him.

He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame.

And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.

 

 

 

4. Surah Al-Ikhlas

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

Qul Huwallahu Ahad

Allahu sh-shamad

Lam yalid walam yuulad

Wa lam Yakun Lahu kufuwan ahad

Meaning:

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

He neither begets nor is born,

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

 

 

 

5. Surah Al-Humazah

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

Woe to every scorner and mocker

Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

Which mounts directed at the hearts.

Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] closes in on them

In extended columns.

Meaning:

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer,

Who gathers wealth and counts it,

Thinking that his wealth will make him immortal.

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

Which mounts directed at the hearts.

Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] closes in on them,

In extended columns.

 

 

 

6. Surah Al-Quraysh

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

For the accustomed security of the Quraysh -

Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer -

Let them worship the Lord of this House,

Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.

Meaning:

Because of the habit of the people of Quraysh, (that is) their habit of traveling in winter and summer.

So let them worship the Lord of this house (the Kaaba), who has provided them with food to satisfy their hunger and has kept them safe from fear.

 

 

 

7. Surah Al-Ma'un

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

For that is the one who drives away the orphan

And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

So woe to those who pray

[But] who are heedless of their prayer -

Those who make show [of their deeds]

And withhold [simple] assistance.

Meaning:

Do you see the one who denies the Recompense?

That is the one who drives away the orphan.

And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

So woe to those who pray, (but) who are heedless of their prayer -

Those who make a show (of their deeds),

And withhold simple assistance.

 

 

 

8. Surat Al-Kautsar

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

Innaa a'thainaakal kautsar

Fashalli lirabbika wanhar

Innsyaani-aka huwal abtar

Meaning:

Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.

So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].

Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.

 

 

 

9. Surat Al-Kafirun

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

Qul yaa ayyuhaal kaafiruun

Laa a'budu maa ta'buduun

Wa laa antum 'aabiduuna maa a'bud

Walaa anaa 'aabidum maa 'abadtum

Walaa antum 'aabiduuna maa a'bud

Lakum diinukum waliya diin

Meaning:

Say, "O disbelievers,

I do not worship what you worship.

Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.

Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.

Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.

For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

 

 

 

10. Surat An-Nasr

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

Iza ja'a nasrullahi wal-fat-h

wa ra'aitan-nasa yadkhuluna fi dinillahi afwaja

fa sabbih bihamdi rabbika wastagfir-h, innahu kana tawwaba

Meaning:

When the help of Allah and victory comes.

and you see people entering the religion of Allah in multitudes.

then glorify the praise of your Lord and seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He is the Accepter of repentance.
