A Series of World Celebrities Who Have Collaborated with Starbucks. The Latest is BLACKPINK!

Starbucks officially released their latest collaboration menu with the South Korean girl group, BLACKPINK. In addition to the new menu, they also released special limited edition merchandise with unique designs. 

This Starbucks X BLACKPINK collaboration carries the theme 'Turn Up Your Summer' and was released in Indonesia on July 22 at Starbucks Senayan Park Mall. The merchandise available for the Indonesian region in this collaboration consists of eight tumblers out of the 11 products offered. 

In fact, besides BLACKPINK, Starbucks has also collaborated with several world celebrities. Starting from BTS to Taylor Swift. Who else is there? Let's find out the information here..

1. Starbucks X BLACKPINK (2023 & 2021)

Apparently, it's not just this time that BLACKPINK collaborated with Starbucks. Previously, they had collaborated in 2021 by releasing limited edition merchandise gradually in Starbucks Thailand. The merchandise they offered included water bottles and a transparent glass complete with the Starbucks X BLACKPINK logo. In addition, there were also other collections such as lanyards, keychains, miniature dolls, and cosmetics.

In their latest collaboration in 2023, Starbucks and BLACKPINK launched 11 products including tote bags, tumblers, mugs, keychains, passport covers, and yoga mats. They also introduced a new menu item called BLACKPINK Strawberry Choco Cream Frappuccino. This sweet-flavored drink is dominated by the color pink with a combination of strawberry syrup, dark chocolate, oat milk, and dark chocolate sauce, complete with whipped cream topping. 

2. Starbucks X Taylor Swift

Starbucks X Taylor Swift collaboration was held to welcome the release of the Red (Taylor's Version) album on November 12, 2021, and Starbucks' holiday red cup season. This collaboration introduces a unique way to purchase a new drink on the menu called Taylor's Latte or Taylor's Version, which is a Grande Caramel Nonfat Latte.

Purchasing this drink is quite unique as customers only need to say "Taylor's Version" or "Taylor's Latte" to get the menu item. Then, the buyer will receive Taylor's special drink and a label on the cup that says "Tay's." Unfortunately, this menu is only available at participating stores.

3. Starbucks X Ariana Grande (2019)

Long before collaborating with BLACKPINK, Starbucks was known to have collaborated with Ariana Grande in 2019. In this collaboration, Starbucks launched a new menu item called 'Iced Cloud Macchiato' available in two flavors, caramel and cinnamon.

This menu is a Macchiato with its milk foam replaced with cold foam. Cold foam itself is a mixture of egg whites and milk that creates a creamy layer and texture without cream. Unfortunately, this drink is only available in the United States and Canada.

4. Starbucks X BTS (2020)

Starbucks made a little innovation in its collaboration with BTS in 2020. While other artists only released drink menus, the Starbucks X BTS collaboration also introduced dessert menus. The menus include Purple Star Cupcake, Purple Berry Cheesecake, Blueberry Star Macaron, Vanilla Star Macaron, and Purple Star Poundcake, all featuring the BTS logo on top.

As for the drink menu, their collaboration only released limited edition drinks. The drink is called Blooming Purple Vin Chaud, which combines the flavors of elderflower and grape juice. The Starbucks X BTS collaboration supports the 'Be The Brightest Star' campaign and offers special merchandise such as mugs, glasses, keychains, and more.
