A Village Named 'Fucking' in Austria Changes its Name After Going Viral and Attracting Attention

Since it became the center of attention, the village of Fucking has been frequently discussed by netizens. In fact, the number of visitors to the village has also drastically increased. However, this has also invited a new problem, such as the case of theft of the village's signboard 'Fucking'.

And in the end, the Mayor of Austria, Andrea Holzner, took a firm stance on this unique issue. He officially announced that the village's name will be changed to Fugging starting from January 1, 2021, as reported by dw.com.

The news of the village's name change itself has received a very positive response from its approximately 106 residents. Most of them are tired of the behavior of tourists who tend to be detrimental and only come to mock.
