Darmawan Prasodjo, the President Director of PLN, explained that eligible customers do not need to bother registering to receive this discount.

"We are committed to ensuring that this economic stimulus in the form of electricity discounts is channeled accurately through our digitized customer service system. The process will be automatic and hassle-free," he said on Wednesday (12/18/2024), as reported by Liputan6.com.

• 1,300 VA: 14.1 million customers
• 2,200 VA: 4.6 million customers

Interestingly, about 97 percent of PLN's total customers, or around 81.4 million households, are entitled to enjoy this benefit.

Darmawan explained that this program aims to alleviate the economic burden on the community and maintain their purchasing power, providing new hope for many families amid the current economic challenges.

Postpaid customers will experience the magic when their monthly bills are automatically reduced by up to 50 percent in January and February 2025, making payments lighter.

Whether through PLN Mobile, official agents, or other retailers, the token price will be immediately halved— for example, if you purchase a token worth Rp100,000, you only need to prepare Rp50,000.
