Oda-Sensei (Eiichiro Oda), the writer, announced directly about the airing of the second season of the adaptation. On Friday (15/9/2023), the official X account (Twitter) of ONE PIECE Netflix announced the happy news delivered directly by the writer Oda-Sensei. In a video lasting about 2 minutes, it can be confirmed that Season 2 will be released soon and is currently in the script development process.
Through the Den Den Mushi or snail phone, Oda-Sensei said, “Two weeks after the launch, I received good news, Netflix decided to continue the ONE PIECE series! The adventures of Inaki and the straw hat gang in live action will continue!” he said.

However, there is no need to wait long as it is estimated to be released in 2024. Producer Marty Adelstein stated that the script for season 2 has been completed. “We have prepared the script”, said CEO of Tomorrow Studios, Marty to Variety, on Thursday (9/7/2023).
Becky Clements, president of Tomorrow Studio, also provided information about when the ONE PIECE Live Action will begin production.
"Realistically, hopefully in one year if we move very quickly, and that is a possibility. The possibility is between one year and 18 months, we could be ready to air," said Clements.
