Fatal Stabbing Victim in Malang Ready to Propose, Suspect Being Pursued

Kapanlagi.com - The family is in shock over the death of Aji Wahyu Nurcahyono or AWN (24), the victim of a stabbing incident with a sharp weapon on the Araya Bridge in Malang. This month, the victim was planning to propose to his girlfriend.

"My nephew was going to propose to his future wife on June 11," said Saiful Bahri, the victim's uncle to reporters at the funeral home on LA Sucipto Street, Pandanwangi Village, Blimbing District, Malang City, on Friday (2/6).

AWN died after being stabbed in the chest by RF. RF himself had previously been in a romantic relationship with the victim's girlfriend, whom he was going to marry.

1. Getting to Know Each Other

The victim and his future wife had known each other for a long time, even becoming friends when they were in kindergarten. But the incident happened on Thursday (1/6) just as they were planning their engagement.

AWN (24) died after being treated briefly at Persada Kota Malang Hospital. The victim was stabbed with a sharp weapon after getting into a fight with RF on Thursday (1/6) at 11:00 PM.

"I demand that the perpetrator receive a fair punishment. Because of their actions, it was premeditated murder," he said.

2. Frequently Receiving Insults

AWN and RF were involved in a fight motivated by a romantic relationship. The victim's closeness with her boyfriend is suspected to have triggered RF's anger. Before the incident, the victim often received insults and mockery from the perpetrator.

The perpetrator also invited the victim to meet at Jembatan Araya on Thursday (1/6) at 11:30 PM to resolve the issue. However, the perpetrator had prepared a sharp weapon which was later used to stab the victim.

3. Carrying a Sharp Weapon

The perpetrator arrived at the location with 10 people, while the victim was accompanied by 2 friends. The perpetrator also brought a sharp weapon in his hand.

The victim was involved in a fight with the perpetrator. They exchanged blows one on one. Before the perpetrator pulled out a sharp weapon, a knife.

Meanwhile, two of the victim's friends tried to provide assistance but were prohibited and blocked by the perpetrator's friends. They then sought help and returned to the location, but the perpetrator had fled with his friends.

4. Conducting Case Investigation

Blimbing Police Chief, Malang City Police, Kompol Danang Yudanto said they are currently investigating the case. Officers are currently pursuing the suspected perpetrator.

"Currently, the suspected perpetrator is being pursued. Please pray that he can be arrested soon," said Danang.
