Group of Thieves Steal 55 Pieces of Dresses at the Malang Strudel Souvenir Outlet

Kapanlagi.com - A group of thieves, mostly middle-aged women, stole 55 pieces of dresses at the Malang Strudel Karanglo Malang Outlet. The incident caught the attention of visitors as the perpetrators tried to flee the scene.

The actions of the four women in the group were captured on CCTV and widely circulated on social media. Besides, Malang Strudel is known as a business brand owned by actor Tengku Wisnu.

"The CCTV section saw the mothers in action and coordinated with the outlet. When they looked down, the people were already trying to run away. One of them had already gone out onto the street," said Ajeng Herlina Setyaningrum, Marketing Division of Malang Strudel, when met at their outlet on Jalan Perusahaan Karanglo Malang, Monday (31/1).

When the employees left the outlet, three out of four perpetrators managed to escape the parking lot. Meanwhile, one of the perpetrators was left behind by his friends who had fled on their motorcycles.

The perpetrator looked panicked because the key to his motorcycle was taken by the outlet employee. But when he tried to take the key, the perpetrator forced to escape by pushing his motorcycle, which was in a dead condition.

Not only that, the nervous perpetrator fell after hitting the portal while breaking through the automatic gate. But the perpetrator, with various efforts, still tried to escape to the north.

2. Successfully Stop the Perpetrator

Several employees managed to stop the perpetrator when he was hiding about 300 meters from the location. When asked by an employee, the perpetrator instead shouted and got angry while making threats.

"The perpetrator tried to hide. Finally, when asked, he turned back and made threats, because his theft was exposed. He threatened to have a heart attack and other things," added Farisal Soni, an outlet employee.

At that time, outlet employees were involved in a verbal dispute with the perpetrator who tried to escape using various excuses. Finally, the perpetrator fled, leaving behind his motorcycle.

"Yesterday the police came here, they saw the location of the incident," he said firmly.

Ajeng said that the four perpetrators were women, just like mothers who came to the outlet to shop. They wore headscarves and carried bags that did not arouse any suspicion.

4. Perpetrator Successfully Brings Daster

"Friends didn't suspect anything. They came carrying bags to choose clothes in the daster area. It turns out that it was visible on CCTV, when checked on CCTV, they did indeed put dasters into the bags," he explained.

"The number of stolen clothes brought by the perpetrator is 55 pieces in the form of dasters with a price range of IDR 200,000 to IDR 250,000 per piece. The total loss is estimated to be between IDR 7 million to IDR 10 million," he elaborated.

The perpetrator successfully brought the stolen dasters, while the abandoned motorcycle was handed over to the police as evidence.

5. Singosari Police Receive Report

Singosari Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Malang Regional Police, Ipda Eka Yuliandri Aska admitted to have received the report and the case is currently under investigation. They have conducted a crime scene investigation and obtained statements from witnesses, as well as examined the evidence found at the location.

"Currently, we have examined three witnesses, secured the evidence, including studying the CCTV footage," he explained.

Aska also revealed that the motorcycle's license plate used by the perpetrator is fake, not the original one. Meanwhile, the original license plate was found inside the seat, so an investigation process was conducted.
