Kapanlagi.com - Indonesia Now, as a platform for Indonesian fashion industry players, paves the way for local designers to participate in New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2025. Several designers are already preparing to penetrate the international market by showcasing at NYFW The Shows, the official venue of New York Fashion Week.
In this season, the designers involved with Indonesia Now include Aden by Pratiwi Anggraeni, Seyvia Charis who collaborates with Rianty Batik and jewelry by Semar Nusantara from Jogja, and Sroja who collaborates with the exclusive bag brand Fimela owned by Fitri Salhuteru, Amelia Natadipura, and Nandy Mareta. Additionally, there are Hengki Kawilarang, Alleira Batik x UC Silver by Adith, and BT Batik Trusmi by Sally Geovanny x Momen.
During the press conference held on Friday (30/8/2024), the fashion designers and brands heading to NYFW The Show Spring/Summer 2025 also introduced their collections.

Hengki Kawilarang presents his latest collection titled 'Kawung ' which not only highlights the beauty of batik motifs rich in meaning but is also specifically designed for the international market with an elegant and modern style.
"The Kawung collection is our tribute to Indonesian batik culture. We want to bring the essence of devotion from this motif to the international stage with a modern touch that can be accepted by women around the world," said Hengki.
In addition to Hengki, the collaboration between Fimela and Sroja also draws attention. Their collaboration features 10 bag designs and 10 clothing designs that are combined and reflect the diversity of cultures in New York City, America today with the theme 'Kaleidoscope of Culture '.
"We are very excited about the collaboration we are doing to be showcased at the NYFW event on September 7, 2024. This special concept reflects our commitment to continue innovating and presenting unique and high-quality designs. We hope this special collection can inspire and enhance appreciation for the fashion industry throughout Indonesia," said Fitri Salhuteru.

Notably, in this season Indonesia Now is also holding a beauty competition for Indonesia Now Fashion Finest 2024 Road To New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025, fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and also the community organization, Gemawira. This event is held in response to the many talented makeup artists, hair stylists, and manicurists in Indonesia who need to be introduced.
In addition, Indonesia Now is also organizing a Models Camp for Indonesian models who want to gain experience walking in major events like this. In total, there are three muses/models participating in this program: Anastasia, a teenage model of French descent; Melanie Berentz, who was the 3rd runner-up of Puteri Indonesia 2022; and Marissya Icha, who is better known to the public as an influencer. All three are undergoing model training that will be conducted by expert trainers in their fields before they walk in the fashion show.
