The fusion idea between Klappertaart and Tiramisu is somewhat related to the interior design background. Timmy dared to combine them because he saw that both have similarities, namely custard cream as a cake layer ingredient. From there, he thought of experimenting. It took a year of experimenting until he dared to sell it.

Meanwhile, for this Mandarin Klappermisu, Timmy actually got it from Pinterest. He found another version of tiramisu in mandarin. Then he thought of making it into Mandarin Klappermisu and it turned out to be a great success. The use of orange and orange juice as a substitute for coffee creates a truly different freshness nuance from Klappertaart Classic/Original or Italian Klappermisu.

"Usually repeat orders are because my clients like the abundant coconut that I use compared to other brands," said Timmy.

3. Challenges

The challenges faced by Timmy initially were capital, marketing, and building branding. Timmy sold his products with only a capital of 250,000 given by a church friend, using his mother's stove oven and his aunt's old pot.

Marketing is now much easier because the name Klappertaart Online is already known by Twitter users.
Until now, capital is still a challenge because finances are still mixed for family and business matters.
