New Track, Now SIM Practical Test at Malang Police Station Without Zig-zag and Figure 8 Track

Kapanlagi.com - Currently, the practical test for obtaining a Driver's License (SIM) at Malang Police Station no longer includes a zig-zag and figure 8 track. Instead, the figure 8 track has been replaced with an 'S' shaped track.

Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of Malang Police Station, officially announced a change in the circuit for SIM practical test. The use of a new 'S' shaped track as a replacement for the figure 8 maneuver will be implemented starting Friday (4/8). 

Malang Police Station's Satlantas has worked hard to expedite the track modification. All preparations are expected to be completed so that the next practical test can run smoothly and according to the predetermined schedule.

This change in track was made following an evaluation by the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, which stated that the figure-eight maneuver was difficult for test participants. Malang Police Traffic Unit Chief AKP Agnis Juwita stated that in addition to changing the shape of the track, the width of the practical test circuit has also been adjusted. The track, which was previously considered narrow, with a width of 1.5 times the width of the vehicle, has now been widened to 2.5 times the width of the vehicle. 

“The purpose of widening the track is to accommodate four practical test subjects, so that test participants have more space and safety during the test,” said AKP Agnis when confirmed at the Malang Police, Thursday evening (3/8).

This change in the SIM practical test track is a proactive step by the Malang Police to improve the quality of the test and ensure the safety of all test participants. The change in the track shape is expected to make it easier for participants without reducing the level of difficulty that should be faced in the test.

Expanding the width of the track is an important step to provide more opportunities for participants in the exam. This will also demonstrate better driving skills and safety.

"With this change, it is expected that the passing rate of the SIM practical exam can increase, as well as creating more skilled and responsible drivers on the road," he said.

Prospective drivers are expected to be able to take the SIM practical exam better and have a positive impact on driving awareness and safety on the road.

"The hope is that with the changes made, it can improve the motor skills of prospective drivers so that they can drive safely on the road," concluded AKP Agnis Juwita.
