Kapanlagi.com - Police have designated a 19-year-old student, Ghisca Debora Aritonang, as a suspect in the fraud case of Coldplay concert tickets held at Gelora Bunga Karno, Jakarta on November 15, 2023.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro, said the suspect designation against the Trisakti University Management student was made after receiving six reports from the complainants.
"On Friday, November 17, 2024, we designated her as a suspect and conducted her arrest since last Friday," said Susatyo Purnomo Condro in a press conference at Central Jakarta Metro Police, Monday (November 20, 2023).

Susatyo said that the total losses suffered by the victims amounted to more than Rp 5 billion. The first report received was a total loss of Rp 1.35 billion for 700 tickets. The second report was a loss of Rp 1.03 billion for 600 tickets.
The third report was a loss of Rp 1.3 billion for 500 tickets. The fourth report was for 58 tickets with a loss of Rp 73 million. Then the fifth report was a loss of Rp 1.3 billion for 400 tickets and the last report was a loss of Rp 230 million.
"So the total (victims' losses) is Rp 5.1 billion or 2,268 tickets," said Susatyo.
Meanwhile, Ghisca Debora Aritonang was brought before the press. With a bowed face, wearing an orange prisoner's uniform, Ghisca admitted her mistakes.
The police have also seized a number of Ghisca's belongings, such as bags, shoes, branded sandals, and so on, which were purchased from her criminal activities.
"We are still investigating and developing the money or goods obtained from the suspect's criminal activities," said Susatyo.
To the investigator, in carrying out his actions Ghisca claimed to have insiders who organized the Coldplay concert. The victim believed and dared to send a sum of money for tickets according to the agreement through Ghisca.
"The modus operandi, the suspect (claimed to the victim) took Rp 250,000 per ticket," said Susatyo.
For his actions, Ghisca is charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code regarding Fraud in conjunction with Article 372 of the Criminal Code regarding Embezzlement with a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
